Why Zimbra sites are looking for a way out
Two exploited vulnerabilities in fourteen months
CVE-2025-27915 was exploited in the wild in 2025, and CVE-2026-73570 was added to the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue in August 2026. Every internet-facing Zimbra server that has not been patched is exposed to the same exploits. XgenPlus issues fixes for its own code base and applies them for on-premise customers under support.
The free edition is gone and the upgrade is paid
Zimbra Open Source Edition was discontinued and the Zextras Suite reached end of life in July 2025. The supported route is a paid Network Edition licence on release 10.1 or later. Sites on older releases receive no fixes. XgenPlus Enterprise is one licence per mailbox with support included.
Zimbra does not run its own hosted mailboxes
Zimbra licenses Network Edition software and relies on its partner network to deploy it as cloud, hybrid or on-premise. There is no hosted plan bought directly from Zimbra. XgenPlus is both: a hosted service from ₹21 per user a month, and the same Enterprise product installed on your own servers, from one vendor.
Chat, meetings, office and a certificate authority are add-ons or absent

Retiring a Zimbra deployment without a mail outage
- We audit the Zimbra installation: domains, mailbox sizes, distribution lists, LDAP or AD, archiving rules and the client mix.
- XgenPlus Enterprise is installed on your hardware or private cloud, and mailboxes are migrated in batches from Zimbra using its export tools and IMAP while Zimbra stays live.
- MX records switch to the XgenPlus hosts on the agreed evening. Users sign in with the same address, and the Zimbra hosts are shut down after your sign-off.
