In last 10 years, Rajasthan has changed for good not only in terms of tourism but also in areas that were not much heard of, thus surprising both the citizens here and across the world.
We all know that Rajasthan is known for its heritage and culture and is very much known for taking care of our guests in the most respected and welcoming way, which you will not witness anywhere in the world. In last 10 years, Rajasthan has changed for good not only in terms of tourism but also in areas that were not much heard of, thus surprising both the citizens here and across the world.
Let me revisit my memory and share what Rajasthan has delivered in past 10 years.
We all should be proud of the Eco system which provides unparalleled support to startups and new age entrepreneurs. Now, young entrepreneurs can get mentoring, funding, education guidance and step-by-step handholding by the ecosystem itself. It is no more necessary to depend on your family and friends to start your business. Rajasthan provides a very conducive atmosphere by having many organisations like TIE, RAIN, BNI, RVCF, StartupOasis, iStart and Entrepreneurs Organization, which are supporting Rajasthan start-up ecosystem and new Entrepreneurial Wave which is not only taking Rajasthan to the global map but also creating lot more entrepreneurs.
The state is thankful to many individuals including Atul Kapur, Mahaveer Sharma, Manuj Goel, Rajesh Mundra, Rajneesh Bhandari, Vivek Lodha from Rajasthan who have put in their tremendous efforts to keep this Eco system active and create some wonderful entrepreneurs and startup’s from Rajasthan.
InnovationRajasthan is known for doing design work and producing amazing jewellery, carpets, handicrafts and many other items which are exported globally. However, in last 10 years we have seen many innovations coming out of Rajasthan to create world-class companies and solving global problems. My company, Data Infosys Limited developed XgenPlus, an email solution to provide linguistic email addresses in Global Market, while eWaste Solutions by Rajat Agarwal of Gravita, Vertigo treatment innovation by Dr Anita Bhandari, Special Steal Produce by Navin Baid of JLC Electromet, Power Cables by Aashish Mangal of Dynamic Cables are some of the examples which have created their powerful presence in the Global market.
People may not be aware that Rajasthan is creating a lot more innovations for the global world than many other states. You may already have witnessed that companies are now creating innovation and world-class products and serving the global market.
IT for CitizensRajasthan IT companies have won many awards for serving citizens and got recognition in the field of IT. Even our government is not behind and rather is very forward looking to implement IT solutions for masses and these initiatives like Bhamashah, eMitra, RajMail, eBazar, CCTNS, eGram, RajNet, RajCop Citizen, RajSampark etc are some of the flagship projects which have made life of the citizens much more easier.
RajMail allows citizens to get one free email address from state government, allowing citizens to have a secured and trouble free email service @rajasthan.in domain in English and rajasthan.bharat in Hindi. Around 200 services are available to citizens from eMitra centres which is making their life easier.
Art and CultureJaipur has seen some vibrant work in art and culture field and built national level organisations and events which have global impact and audience. JLF is hosted in Jaipur and serving lakhs of people while organization like JCF, JaiRangam are doing great work towards providing platform for local talent and also exposing citizens to performing arts.
Many eminent citizens have been hosting musical events and story festivals for children and exposing them to global music and leaders and also providing opportunity to Rajasthani’s to witness global music in Jaipur itself. Even our government has started celebrating Rajasthan Day by providing mesmerizing performances for the citizens.
Communication and ConnectivityRajasthan probably has the maximum number of operational Airports than any other state in the country. The number of flights have gone up by 10 times. This apart, Internet connectivity has improved and has become at least 10 times better and cheaper. The prices have gone down by 50 per cent and quality of Internet over broadband have gone up by 10 times. Almost every one who owns a smart phone can now afford Internet, thereby connecting him/her with the entire world. I have seen that ABCD (Aaaya, Bai, Chaukidar and Driver) have starting owning smart phones and using the net, connecting them with global world.
Overall Rajasthan is keeping pace with India’s growth but is lacking to compete in Global world. We need many more companies from Jaipur to serve both Indian and Global markets with world class services and products. We need such companies whose services or products are being used in every country globally such as Microsoft, Uber, Samsung, Apple etc and looking forward to see such emerging companies out of Rajasthan. The eco system is ready and it is the best time for people who wish to do something big and important for the world. Time is to make it big or go home.
