The world's first linguistic email service provider Data X Gen tied up with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Tuesday, supporting .bharat in 15 Indian language domains.
"We are excited to announce our partnership with BSNL. To empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more, the team has gone further to integrate local language email addresses across the email platforms, aiming to address linguistic barrier for the internet growth in India," said CEO, Data XGen, Ajay Data.
To foster the 'Digital India' mission, Data XGen took this initiative and has now become the first company in India which will offer linguistic email address service in Indian languages, offering Email Address Internatilisation solution on Internationalised Domain Names (IDNs) and corporates.
To provide Internet in local language and break the language barrier, The National Internet exchange of India (NIXI) started Internationalised Domain Names (IDN) in 15 Indian Languages; however it could not take off because there was no email solution available in the world to provide email on IDNs.
"The government has already issued several directives in past for making all websites multi-lingual, inspite all these website have become multi-lingual still the issue was that the email address on these pages were still in English and on English domains but now all PSU, corporates, cooperations and even government departments," Ajay added.
Anyone can host their domain with BSNL and get an email address in just Rs. 365 plus taxes per email id per annum. (ANI)
